Steps For Buying A Franchise
STEPS TO PROCEED TO PURCHASE A FRESHSLICE FRANCHISE
The following are the highlights of the Freshslice process of granting a franchise. It is vital that this process is always followed in order to maintain consistency and make it easier to track the progress of the franchise granting system. All new prospects inquiring about a Freshslice franchise should be directed to go to the Freshslice web site or we fax the info to them.
STEP 1/ Reviewing Franchise Information Package
Applicants should be directed to view the Franchise offer Information on the freshslice.com website. If the Applicant does not have access to a website, Freshslice will fax or mail a hard copy of this Franchise Information including a copy of Simple Questionnaire.
STEP 2/ Completing Questionnaire - On-Line or by fax
After applicant views the Franchise information package, the Applicant should complete and submit Questionnaire form. After Freshslice receives the questionnaire form, we will be responding to it in 2 business days.
STEP 3/ Invitation to meet with the Franchise Director.
STEP 4/ Presenting the Offer to Franchise
Freshslice will present Offer to Franchise and a detailed explanation of the Offer to Franchise will be given. If offer to franchise is acceptable and signed by both parties then Freshslice require a deposit of $4,900 plus GST which is a portion of the Initial Franchise Fee of $24,900. Upon receipt of the deposit, the applicant will be given a copy of the Standard Franchise Agreement and Sublease template. The applicant will be given 1 week to review and sign the Offer to Franchise and Standard Franchise Agreement. If applicant wishes not to proceed, Freshslice will return the full amount of applicant’s Deposited ($4,900 plus GST) upon return of all original documents.

Upon receipt and reviewing the Questionnaire, the Franchise Director should contact the applicant and continue the qualification process as well as explaining the basic franchise opportunity program. If the Applicant appears to be suitable, the Applicant should be invited to meet the Franchise Director, tour of the Head Office and the Pizza Dough Production Plant. If he/she wishes to proceed then immediately the Franchise Director will present the Franchise Confidential Qualification Report form (CQR) and upon signing it, they receive the Offer to Franchise form.
STEP 4/ Presenting the Offer to Franchise
Freshslice will present Offer to Franchise and a detailed explanation of the Offer to Franchise will be given. If offer to franchise is acceptable and signed by both parties then Freshslice require a deposit of $4,900 plus GST which is a portion of the Initial Franchise Fee of $24,900. STEP 5/ Signing of the Standard Franchise Agreement (SFA)
If Standard Franchise Agreement is acceptable and signed, then applicant is asked to pay the balance of Initial Franchise Fee of $24,900 which is $20,000 plus GST. It will be made clear to the Franchisee that only $20,000 of the Initial Franchisee Fee will be refunded to the Franchisee; if a suitable franchised location cannot be agreed upon 12 months after signing of the Franchise Agreement. The amount of $4,900 plus GST will be kept for administration costs
STEP 6/ Approval of Franchised Location, Sublease and Construction
After signing of SFA both parties will start looking for suitable sites. When a suitable site for both parties is found, Freshslice will start lease negotiation. Upon acceptance of offer to lease, a Lease Deposit as per amount equal to offer to lease will be required as well as the Grand Opening Advertising fee which is $3,000. All conditions relating to the construction and payments for Freshslice Store Construction, Equipments and other store opening requirements will be explained as well. After signing of lease we have to start construction. The applicant has choose to hire his own general contractor or hire FS Food equipment (FS) which is Freshslice sister company as general contractor. If FS is chosen, we will give free estimate within 10% margin and term of payment and we will sign general contractor agreement.
STEP 7/ Training
A program for training will be established for up to 2 people at one time about 6 - 8 weeks before opening the store which would take about 4 weeks part time or 2 weeks full time. There will be a video presentation, employee manual, operator manual and 2 tests. After this training and passing the test, the applicant should be able to hire and train new staff for the new location.
STEP 8/ Opening
Freshslice will assign you a general manager to help setting up all the items in the store and for the grand opening, 4 hours per day for the 1st 5 days.
